Drawnwild

Book cover? Say what?

I have been approached by the University of Washington asking to use one of my drawings on the cover of a book to be published by the Oxford University Press. That came out of the blue :-)

Glow

Here is a little one that I have just completed and which will soon be on its way to South Australia for "A Small World", an International small works show which will be held at Magpie Springs - Gallery.Cellar Door.Vineyard in November, 2016. 6" x 4" - Graphite on 300GSM Luste paper

This wonderful venue is owned and run by my good friend and fellow artist Avril Thomas.

This will be just one of a couple of hundred 6" x 4" artworks from artists all over the world and will be available for online purchase then so please visit the Magpie Springs site and stay tuned for details. Almost all proceeds from sales will be donated to Cancer Research.

(My apologies for the photo... it's not the best.)

Finished another Whimsy :-)

This is one I started at least 3 years ago, maybe longer. I got as far as the starfish and that was it. Then I picked it up again yesterday and was determined to get it done. 🙂
This is part of the Wild Whimsy series. I have named it...
"A Very Crabby Christmas" 😃

This is A4 in size, graphite and coloured pencil.

First Love

I finally had time this afternoon to finish this piece, which is close to my heart.
My first grandchild Issy and my first child's first child. ❤

I've called it 'First Love'.

Painting of my son's hand holding his son's hand holding my son's thumb :-)

Pththththt

My first piece in AGES! I began this late yesterday afternoon and finished it this afternoon. I'm not 100% happy with it but it was a nice start-over piece and a bit of fun, 🙂
Title: 'Pththththt!'

Graphite and coloured pencil.
